The Camelia Countessa, weedrobes, nicole dextras

There’s no doubt about it - floral prints are all the rage for this summer and fall. Everywhere you look, it’s pretty petunias, brightly-colored begonias, and lush lilac. We love these looks, but eco-artist Nicole Dextras is taking flowery fashion one step further with her intricately woven Weedrobes made from real plants! Weedrobes are a treat for the eyes, but they’re also a commentary on the disposability and conformism of the fashion industry today. Nicole’s work is currently on display at the Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Click through our gallery to see these incredibly detailed examples of green fashion (from Camelia Countessa to Cabbage Shoes) to learn what each wearable creation is made of. You might be inspired to create your own versions!
